EXPLANATION OF TERMS & HISTORY

Kara means empty, Te means hand.

Seiei – Kan means “crack troops” “Pick of the best”. Seiei also means Perception, Intuition. Kan means Government Way.

The Seiei – Kan was formed in 1958 when Don Madden got out of the Military and started the Ko Sutemi Dojo teaching Karate, Judo, and Ju – Jutsu. There are more than 200 clubs in the US that make up the Seiei – Kan. Recently the Ko Sutemi has added Kung Fu to the ranks.

Ko – Sutemi means Success at the risk of ones life. That is the more harsh meaning. We refer to it as Success of one’s Goals.

Ju-Jutsu means the soft technique and it has roots in Japanese Combat Techniques, Developed and practiced by the Samurai. From Ju – Jutsu other martial arts have been devolved; Judo, Aikido and many Karate styles have origins from the old Ju – Jutsu.

Seiei – Kan works on both small and large circles, Hard and Soft movements, always working to find a better and easier way of doing Ju – Jutsu. Seiei _ Kan Ju – Jutsu is a modern system and it contains: Punches, Kicks, Throws, Holdings, Takedowns and Disarmament techniques.
